Children from Reception to Year 6 have soaked up the fantastic events at the Literature Festival this week. From an interactive poetry session with Children’s Poet Laureate Joseph Coelho for Reception, a draw-along event with Catherine Rayner for Pre-Prep, a captivating talk by world-renowned and best-selling author and academic Katherine Rundell for Year 5 and 6, and some exciting Christmassy facts in a non-fiction event by well known children’s TV presenter and scientist, Maddie Moate! The feedback from our teachers is that the events were interesting and inspiring, and the children listened so carefully to the authors, engaging wherever possible with some super questions.
