Ashley Manor have qualified for the last eight of the Cheltenham and District Primary Football League after finishing second in their group behind St Gregory The Great – they won four out of their six matches with two close defeats against the table toppers.

In the final phase of the league programme, schools are split into two pools of four where they play each other just once. The winner of each then books their place in the grand final which is taking place here at Ashley Manor on Wednesday March 29th (4.15pm).

Teams that win their group have two matches at home and one away while second placed teams, such as Ashley Manor, have just the one home game with the other two away.

Charlton King’s, St Mark’s and St James’ are the likely opponents that stand in the way, but I will confirm this in due course and also the fixtures when they are released. Ashley Manor last won the league in 2019.

Well done to the boys for making it through and giving themselves a chance of reaching the final.
