A NEAR perfect turn out produced eight exciting races as runners tested their stamina over a shortened school cross country course.

Urged on by a large crowd and assisted by the Sport Captains, there were some gutsy individual performances and a real team ethic throughout.

With points from every runner counting against you, the competition was incredibly tight. There were only 10 points between all three houses across the Y3/Y4 category as Dahl came out on top, while a mere 13 points separated the top two in the Y5/Y6 competition as Lewis edged out Dahl – well done to everyone, staff and pupils, for their participation, assistance and support on the day.

Results:- Y3/4: 1. Dahl, (84points); 2. Blyton, (92); 3. Lewis, (94)

Y5/6: 1. Lewis, (186); 2. Dahl, (199); 3. Blyton, (244)
