Pupils in Reception look forward to Wednesday mornings every week, when they have specialist Music lessons from Mrs Pope, Head of the Expressive Arts Faculty and Music teacher at the Senior School.
Recently, Mrs Pope has been working on the “Pet Shop Song” with the children. Whilst singing along to the piano, they each have a turn at thinking of an animal that they have seen at the pet shop, then demonstrating the noise which that animal makes, before the whole class also makes the animal sound together.
It has been a firm favourite with the children so far this term and the pupils were very excited to add percussion instruments to the piece, mimicking the noise of their animal. The group also spent time playing in time with each other.
