Our U10 and U11 Swimming Teams competed in the Cheltenham Primary Schools Swimming Gala this week. After a break due to COVID-19 of two years, it was great to back competing against the other local schools.
The meet began well with our relay teams both winning their heats and progressing to the finals. In the final stage, both teams performed extremely well to win their finals convincingly!
In the individual event, all four of our swimmers, qualified from the heat stage to the finals. They all tried their very best in extremely competitive finals. In the boys event, Oliver finished in 6th place and Denis in a very close 2nd place. In the girls event Arabella finished in 5th position and Phoebe in an amazing 1st place!
This is a fantastic achievement as it is several years since Ashley Manor have won both relay competitions and the first time an Ashley Manor pupil has won the individual event. A huge well done to everyone involved.
